Mobily Records a 54.6% Increase in Net Profit in
2022
Saudi Arabian mobile network operator (MNO) Etihad Etisalat
(Mobily) has published its financial results for the twelve months
ended 31 December 2022, reporting a 5.63% year-on-year increase in
revenues to SAR15.669 billion (USD4.2 billion), up from SAR14.834
billion in 2021. The company claims that the positive result was
driven by the growth of all revenue streams, coupled with a ‘healthy
growth’ in its overall subscription base. Further, EBITDA increased
to SAR6.161 billion in 2022, up by 10.4% y-o-y, while interest and
financial charges grew 20.2% y-o-y to SAR607 million in the period
under review, reflecting the increase in interest rates. Net profit,
meanwhile, improved by 54.57% y-o-y from SAR1.072 billion to
SAR1.657 billion in 2022. CAPEX for 2022 amounted to SAR2.093
billion, flat when compared to the previous year (SAR2.092 billion).
