Orange Liberia wins three Ookla® Speedtest Awards™ with support from ZTE

Orange Liberia has once again solidified its position as the leading telecommunications provider in the country, receiving three prestigious Speedtest Awards in 2024 from Ookla, a renowned global leader in connectivity intelligence

The awards—Best Mobile Network, Best Mobile Coverage, and Fastest Mobile Network, were presented during the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC2025), highlighting Orange Liberia's exceptional network performance and customer-centric services.

This remarkable achievement, marking the third consecutive recognition by Ookla, was made possible through the strategic partnership and support of ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions. The collaboration has been instrumental in enhancing Orange Liberia's network capabilities, ensuring seamless, high-speed connectivity for customers across the nation.

As the leading telecom operator in Liberia, Orange has long provided high-quality communication networks and digital financial services to people in the rural communities.

Through its longstanding strategic partnership with ZTE, Orange has delivered innovative product solutions and professional services, that has helped in building a superb networks and enhance user experience.

In recent years, Orange Liberia and ZTE have implemented a dual-engine strategy of "rapid delivery and precise optimization", continuously improving network coverage and performance through spectrum re-farming, site expansion, and performance optimization.

According to statistics, following the network upgrade, overall traffic has increased by over 50%, while network congestion has been significantly reduced. This transformation has led to substantial improvements in both network capacity and user experience, delivering higher-quality communication and digital services.

In addition to continuously enhancing network coverage and performance in urban areas, both parties are committed to expanding network coverage in remote rural regions. As part of the "Enhancing Rural Area" network project in 2024, they deployed innovative Rural EcoSite communication sites in remote locations, significantly improving national network coverage thereby integrating over 580,000 farmers into the digital world.
