Zain Group, a leading regional TechCo, has added four prestigious accolades to its growing record of regional and international industry recognition at the Telecom Review Excellence Awards, held alongside the recent 20th Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit in Dubai.
Leading the Group’s achievements was Zain Kuwait, its flagship operation, which further strengthened its position at the forefront of next-generation connectivity by securing the Best 5G Advanced Business Innovation and Best 5G Advanced Network Experience awards, recognizing its success in translating advanced network capabilities into exceptional customer experiences and tangible value for businesses.
The Group’s success also extended to Zain Jordan, which received the Best Digital Transformation Deployment award, and Zain Omantel International (ZOI), which earned the Best Subsea Cable Innovations/Solutions award.

During the Summit, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Technology Officer, Daaij Al-Oud joined a high-level panel discussion titled Network Experience: Connectivity Redefined, alongside senior executives and technology leaders from across the telecom industry.
The discussion explored how rising data consumption, AI workloads, and enterprise demand are reshaping network capacity requirements, highlighting the importance of spectrum efficiency, intelligent network optimization, and sustainable infrastructure investment.

Zain Kuwait earned this award in recognition of its sustained efforts to translate advanced network technologies into a superior, reliable, and consistent customer experience. Following its commercial, nationwide launch of 5G-Advanced in 2025, the company continued enhancing its network through intelligent capacity management, advanced carrier aggregation, and AI-powered optimization. These efforts include Kuwait's first successful six-carrier 5G-Advanced verification, achieving peak speeds of 3 Gbps while demonstrating greater spectrum efficiency, improved indoor coverage capabilities, and enhanced uplink performance.

The award recognized Zain Omantel International (ZOI)’s contributions to advancing international connectivity and strengthening the region's digital infrastructure. The accolade reflects ZOI's focus on developing innovative subsea connectivity solutions that enhance network capacity, resilience, and reliability, supporting the growing demand for high-performance international data transmission.
These capabilities were recently demonstrated through ZOI's collaboration with Zain Kuwait in enabling a Guinness World Record-breaking remote robotic surgery between Kuwait and Brazil in 2025, spanning over 12,000 km, with ZOI providing the ultra-low-latency international connectivity essential to the procedure's success.
