King Salman Park Foundation and stc Group, the digital enabler in the region, have announced the signing of a five-year strategic partnership aimed at delivering advanced digital infrastructure and reliable cybersecurity solutions as part of the King Salman Park project, one of Riyadh’s major development initiatives and among the largest urban parks in the world.
The partnership aims to transform King Salman Park into a leading model of innovation and sustainability, enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors, and supporting Riyadh’s ambition to become one of the world’s top 100 livable cities.
Under this agreement, stc group will deploy a cutting-edge digital infrastructure, including a neutral network for telecom operators supported by the latest fixed and mobile communication technologies. The project will feature more than 20 mobile towers and indoor coverage systems, ensuring comprehensive 5G network coverage and highly efficient indoor connectivity.
Additionally, stc will implement a fiber-to-the-premises (FTTx) network, delivering high-quality telecommunications services to over 27,000 residential units and thousands of businesses within the Park.
The partnership will also see the integration of smart city technologies across the Park, enabling Internet of Things (IoT) applications, smart mobility, environmental monitoring, and efficient urban operations management. The Park’s digital ecosystem will be secured through an advanced cybersecurity framework, providing proactive protection via real-time threat detection and response to ensure the highest levels of digital safety and stability.
