Under “Seven or Eight?” Campaign, Omantel Continues Khareef Dhofar 2026 Activities with Community Initiatives and Visitor Experiences

Omantel, the main sponsor and technical partner of Khareef Dhofar 2026, is continuing its participation in the season through its "Seven or Eight?" campaign, bringing together interactive experiences, community initiatives and enhanced connectivity across multiple locations in Dhofar Governorate.

At the heart of the campaign is the Omantel Zone at Wafa Walk, an interactive destination combining entertainment, art and technology. Visitors can experience simulation and virtual reality activities, take part in interactive challenges and enjoy a range of family-friendly attractions throughout the season.

The Zone also provides an opportunity to explore Omantel's latest consumer and business offerings, including Hayyak, Baqati, Baiti Fiber, the Makasib loyalty programme and GameOn, alongside business solutions such as A'amali+ and the company's revamped Business Postpaid Plans.

As part of its support for local entrepreneurship, Omantel is also providing Omani entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with a platform to showcase their products and services, engage with visitors and expand their reach during the Khareef season.

Beyond Wafa Walk, the campaign includes free open-top bus tours, giving visitors the opportunity to explore selected landmarks and tourist destinations across Dhofar Governorate while experiencing the unique atmosphere of Khareef from a different perspective.

Omantel is also delivering two practical workshops focused on developing digital and creative skills. The first, organised as part of the company's skills-based volunteering programme, will equip NGOs with practical approaches to strengthening their social media presence, creating more engaging content and communicating their community impact more effectively, with Omantel employees sharing their professional expertise. The second workshop, designed for content creators in Dhofar, will explore practical applications of artificial intelligence in design.

Community engagement remains a central part of Omantel's participation throughout the season. In collaboration with associations and civil society organisations in Dhofar Governorate, the company is delivering several initiatives, including the Digital Detective programme, which raises digital awareness among children and young people by promoting the safe and responsible use of technology. Other initiatives include Moments of Joy, delivered in partnership with Fifty Five Coffee, a reputable local coffee shop, to empower individuals with Down syndrome and strengthen their participation in the community, as well as a sightseeing tour organised with Al Noor Association for the Blind, enabling people who are blind to enjoy the season's tourism and community activities.

Alongside these experiences, Omantel continues to strengthen connectivity at key destinations and event venues across the governorate by enhancing network efficiency and allocating capacity in line with operational requirements. Free Wi-Fi is also available at selected locations, while visitors can access Omantel's services through its retail outlets and digital channels throughout the season.

The campaign also features Helwa Dhofar (which translates to Beautiful Dhofar) an original song inspired by Dhofar, its people and the spirit of the season. The production forms part of the campaign's visual and creative identity, complementing its on-ground experiences with an authentically local artistic expression.

Through its continued participation in Khareef Dhofar 2026, Omantel is combining connectivity, visitor experiences and community initiatives to enrich the season while supporting Dhofar Governorate's position as one of the Sultanate of Oman's leading tourism destinations.
